see the earth

and rain and sun combine

to keep life changing, growing

including yours and mine

you’re stupid

and you will always fail

the truth says

you’re unique

and on your dreams you’ll sail

depressions says

you’re ugly

the whole world is unfair

the truth says

you’re valid

be you angry, hurt or scared

depression tries to keep you

still feeling blue and black

yet sometimes you must realize

it is the truth you lack
