What hardware and software platforms does CHARTMAN support?
CHARTMAN II for Windows runs on stand-alone or
networked PCs running Windows 3.1x, Windows 95, and Windows NT.
CHARTMAN II for DOS runs on stand-alone or networked PCs running DOS or as a DOS
session under Windows.
We recommend 386 or newer machine with 4 megabytes of RAM and at least
20 megabytes of storage space available on a hard disk for CHARTMAN II for DOS, and
486/66 or new machines with 8 megabytes of RAM and at least
40 megabytes of storage space available on a hard disk for CHARTMAN II for Windows.
CHARTMAN II runs on a variety of network platforms, including Windows NT,
Windows for Workgroups, and Novell Netware.
Do you offer Remote Demos?
We can provide you with a remote demo of the program. Norton PC Anywhere
is the suggested program to use. Call (800) 500-0893 for additional
information.

above or by emailing us.
What populations do your clients serve?
CHARTMAN customers are serving the Behavioral and Mental Health needs of
their clients. Populations include severely mentally ill adults,
severely emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, as well as less
severely disturbed adults and children in outpatient settings. CHARTMAN
customers are also providing service to the Dually Diagnosed.
Can CHARTMAN track client medication?
CHARTMAN has a sophisticated Medication component that allows pick-list driven,
point and click entry of client medication information. This speeds the
entry of repetitive data (Medication name, purpose, etc.) while permitting
detailed entry of client specific data (dosage, instructions, notes). Facilities
that store and dispense client medication will appreciate the Stored Medication
tracking component.
Can CHARTMAN be used for Treatment Planning?
CHARTMAN's treatment planning component combines the best time-saving features
of a picklist with extensive free text fields for individualization of the
treatment plan. CHARTMAN treatment plans are linked to Progress Notes,
thereby encouraging clinical staff to write their narratives about the
treatment plan goals.
What support options do you offer?
We offer remote support where customers have that capability. We offer
onsite training and custom installation. We have found that most of our
customers’ technical support questions can be handled verbally over the
phone, and we offer telephone support between 6 a.m. and 6 p.m. P.S.T.
Can you query the data you collect in CHARTMAN?
CHARTMAN's fully relational database allows complex and sophisticated
queries. This permits tracking of client outcomes, performing Utlization
Reviews, analyzing demographic data, and more.
Can we use our own forms?
Absolutely! If the information you need is already captured by the CHARTMAN
program you can write a custom report to match your existing forms (or
we'll be glad to do it for you). If the information you need is not
already captured by CHARTMAN we can customize the program to meet your
needs.
Does CHARTMAN permit importing or exporting files? Can it link to
external reporting engines?
CHARTMAN’s open architecture permits linking to other systems. CHARTMAN can
link directly from the main menu to the report writing program of your
choice, such as R&R Relational Report Writer. The Windows version can
utilize Windows based reporting programs, such as Report Pro or R&R for
Windows. All files can be exported in delimited ASCII file (with user
definable separators and delimiters), flat ASCII file, Dbase 3 compatible
.dbf file, and Wordperfect V5.x merge file.
