The purpose of the Sanctuary Psychiatric Centers Outpatient Services Program is to provide continuity, support and education, alternative treatment and a consistent basis from which all clients and former clients can gain and maintain stability in their lives.
The Outpatient Services Program, located in the beautifully refurbished Victorian Arlington House, provides comprehensive services to graduates of our programs, their families and individuals (and families) who have been referred to us by psychiatrists, insurance companies or hospitals. The Outpatient Services Program is fully staffed with a Program Director, Assistant Director, therapists and interns, and operates seven days per week.
Services available include individual, group and family therapy, Movement Therapy, Music Therapy, Men's and Women's groups, Art Therapy, Prevocational/ Vocational Counseling, Depression Support group, Exercise groups, a 12-step meeting, Coping Skills group, a variety of Independent Living Skills groups, as well as recreational activities, art projects, crafts and an expanding number of classes to meet a variety of client needs and interests. An After-Care Group enables clients to interact with each other and to process issues encountered in independent living. A library is available for clients, families and the community to increase awareness and provide education about mental illness and its effective treatment.
We have recently added a Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Psychosocial Skills Training program to the opportunities available for the clients at the Arlington Day Treatment Center. You can find more information about this program here.
