Innovative Programs for Successful Living

Graduate Program

Those clients who have successfully completed their stay in the Satellite Program and wish to remain in Santa Barbara may choose to enter the Graduate Program. This is long-term, permanent housing in Santa Barbara managed by Sanctuary Psychiatric Centers. The Program Director monitors each household weekly (a "house meeting") to problem-solve and exchange ideas. Clients share successes in a mutually supportive environment. Clients have the option of weekly individual counseling sessions with the Program Director, and should extra support be needed, the Outpatient Services Program is also available.

Staff are on-call 24 hours per day for crisis management. If hospitalization and/or a stay in Sanctuary House becomes necessary, the client's placement in the Graduate Program will be held for at least 30 days. The need for further intensive treatment will be assessed at this time.

This is an opportunity for independent living in Santa Barbara that is secure and affordable with monitoring and continued support by the Sanctuary Psychiatric Centers treatment team.
